William Bartley has been interested in buying, selling and restoring antiques since 1975. He resides in North West, CT., in a historic home that was once standing in Williamstown Mass. The Bartley’s had it disassembled and re erected it in 1986.
Interest: Renaissance Europe through Colonial America. Specialty: 17th and 18th century American furniture and accessories including; andirons, treen ware, long guns and candlesticks.
Along with his wife, Nancy they have managed several shops of their own along with joint ventures and have been in many group shops. Over the years the Bartley’s have done many antique shows and flea markets such as ADA Shows in Philadelphia and Deerfield along with the Hartford Spring and Fall shows.
Bill's expertise in many field of antiques has earned him the great privilege of vetting for the NY International Winter Antique Show as well as ADA Shows.
Another love and passion of his is early long guns, swords and accoutrements. In the late 70’s he was fortunate to take on a 4 year apprenticeship with one of the most renound gun smiths in the country. From here he was he was introduced to the world of antiques and has never looked back.
He currently is a member of the New England Antiques Arms Society (NEAAS), Antiques Arms Collectors Assoc. of CT, Kentucky Rifle Assoc. (KRA), Contemporary Long Rifle Assoc, (CLRA), and the National Muzzel Loading Rifle Assoc. (NMLRA).
